------------------------------

I WON'T TAKE ANY RESPONSIBILITY IF THIS CAUSES YOUR GAME TO CRASH, RUINS YOUR COMPUTER OR WHATEVER. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR FILES AND YOUR COMPUTER.

------------------------------

Description:

This is version 0.3.7 of Cope's Defense Mod. Cope's Defense Mod is a multiplayer conversion which let's you play against attacking waves of enemies. In this alpha-version there are NOT all features included.
There are 40 waves included yet including a boss-wave (more waves to come!). Those waves may differ everytime you play, as they're generated through a special script.

------------------------------

Changelog 0.3.7

Fixes
- fixed a rarely occuring bug that would make the game freeze
- ammo-drops will now always grant ammunition and drop regardless which commander has been chosen
- fixed weapon-switching
- flamer-orks will now work in Multiplayer games
- the warboss now won't move through walls anymore

Balancing
- buffed plasma-gun damage (15->45) and increased its range (38->50)
- reduced ammo-dropchance (orks: 2% -> 1%, tyranids: 1% -> 0.5%)
- reduced the health regeneration of the warboss-boss
- destroying a warbanner now grants 75 Zeal and 75 Requisition
- your popcap now depends on the chosen difficulty-level (35/25/15/25; from easy to expert)
- switched flamer and plasma (Tactical Marines)
- reduced zeal-cost of Artillery Strike (400->350)
- lowered melee skill of basic enemies
- decreased the suppression radius of tarantel-turrets (15->10) and increased it's cooldown (1.5->2.5)
- tarantel-turrets now have to reload every 3 bursts for 5 seconds
- buffed shotguns slightly
- increased difficulty for hard and expert level
- various other slight adjustments

Gameplay
- 'Switch to Flamer' and 'Switch to Plasma' can now be used in buildings

Miscellaneous
- added new decorators for player-squads (allied squads will now have smaller decorators)
- removed the destructive effect from most of the knockback abilities (except the Stomp ability from the Warboss) to prevent simple enemies from destroying all your barricades with one special attack
- removed sync-kills from Apothecary ('cause it's annoying not being able to heal someone just because your Apoth is sync-killing)
- disabled the Squad-AI of player-squads

How to play the mod:

To play this mod, start a private/public multiplayer game and select "Cope's Defense Mod" as victory-condition. Now fill up ALL player slots, the difficulty of the last AI-player defines the overall difficulty, you can choose any map. You should be player 1 and if you've got any other human players in game, then they should be players 2 and 3. Players 4, 5 and 6 must ALWAYS be AI-opponents!
Once you've started, you'll notice that player 1 received 4 spore-mines; place these four units somewhere on the map: The four tyranids indicate the positions where enemy waves may spawn. (You can move them all on the same place if you only want one spawn-place for the waves, but this is not recommended as the overall design isn't made for that.)
Now, select a spore-mine and activate the 'Start Drop Pod' ability. Choose a place to drop the drop pod (ignore the ability-range, you can place it everywhere!); this is where your troops will spawn. You'll receive some squads and your task is simple: Survive! You'll get some bonus-resources for every kill and every wave you survived, with these resources you can buy upgrades for you troops. The waves will get stronger over time and are randomly generated.
After each wave all your squads will be revived if at least one is still alive. Remember that all this is still alpha-stage.

Installation:

If you've got a previous version of Cope's Defense Mod in your Dawn of War II directory delete it completely (the mod, NOT Dawn of War II)
Copy all the included files but "z_cope.ucs" to your main Dawn of War II directory ("Steam\steamapps\common\dawn of war 2"). Now copy "z_cope.ucs" to "Steam\steamapps\common\dawn of war 2\GameAssets\Locale\<your_language>".
Add "-dev -modname z_cope" as parameters to your Dawn of War II shortcut/steam-game-list-entry. If you don't know how to do this, please use GOOGLE / SCROOGLE.ORG.
Start the Game!

DONE.

Have lots of fun!
